FinancialEAR.com was created to inform and empower.  We believe our responsibility is to provide the highest quality educational tools and resources on financial and financially related legal matters that will help individuals, businesses, and communities.  Our products and services are intended to help educate clients in understanding their own personal finances and develop a strategy to achieve their goals.

About Michael L. Sloan

Mr. Sloan graduated in 1981 from Loyola Marymount University with a Bachelor of Arts in History and a minor in philosophy.  He obtained his law degree from Loyola Law School.  Mr. Sloan was an active member of the Student Bar Association and later became President during his third year.  After graduating in 1984, he worked for a law firm that enforced collective bargaining agreements under the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974. Subsequently, Mr. Sloan had a private practice engaged in civil litigation with an emphasis in employment matters, including worker’s compensation law. He also worked with a few worker’s compensation defense firms after closing his practice.

Since 2007, Mr. Sloan has worked on building a business related to financial education and responsibility.  His law practice has complimented this business concept as he has assisted those with financially related legal matters.

From 2005 through 2007, Mr. Sloan volunteered his time to the non-profit organization Junior Achievement.  He was able to teach economics and business concepts to children in schools in the Pasadena area.  Mr. Sloan founded FinancialEAR.com in 2009 so that he could continue this work by assisting adults, businesses, and communities. Mr. Sloan is also a Real Estate Broker, and Insurance Broker licenced in the state of California.
